"I’d been in hospitality for more than 28 years. My brother in law was working in disability, supporting people to have more life opportunities. I hadn't studied since the seventies, but I was inspired."

"I saw an ad in the paper for a six week course at Noweyung Learn Local: Kickstart Your Career in the Disability Sector. It has changed my life. I loved every minute of it. It was very supportive and made me sure that Disability Support was what I wanted to do."

"The Skills and Jobs Centres provided advice as part of the Learn Local course. I booked a one-on-one session with them to work on my resume. The process made me realise that I had a lot of the attributes I needed. It gave me the confidence to pursue new career opportunities."

"At the end of my course, I was invited to an interview. I'm now a Personal Care Attendant at Noweyung Disability Service. I have tripled my income while working part-time and I am doing what I love."

“No matter how old you are, if you really want to do something and you get the right help, you can do it.”
